Rochester Area Mensa

The High IQ Society

Rochester Area Mensa is a local chapter ( bylaws ) of Mensa International , a not-for-profit society whose sole qualification for membership is a score in the top 2% on any of a number of standard IQ tests.  Rochester Area Mensa serves the greater Rochester, New York area.  Rochester Area Mensa is in Mensa Region 3 .

Among other benefits, Mensa provides a fun and stimulating social environment for its members, and a forum for intellectual exchange.

Mensa membership includes a subscription to the national Mensa Bulletin, many special membership benefits and privileges, and the opportunity to join diverse Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and attend Regional Gatherings (RGs),  parties held nation-wide.

Rochester Area Mensans also receive a subscription to the monthly local newsletter, The Constellation , which includes articles, puzzles, humor, and a listing of chapter events .  These events include special tours and activities, movie and video nights, "First Thirstdays" socials at area pubs, and always interesting conversation.

How To Join Mensa
